OUR MISSION TO PROMOTE & PRESERVE

The Pinecrest Mountain Bike Association (PMBA) was officially formed in August of 2017 and is a community based, non-profit organization.

We are dedicated to promoting human powered transportation, physical fitness, economic development, and the appreciation and enjoyment of the natural environment that is unique to the Pinecrest area. We strive to preserve and enhance sustainable trail opportunities for mountain bikers and other trail users in the greater Pinecrest area through education, communication, partnerships, and on-the-ground support.

Sustainable Trail Networks

We promote and maintain a trail system that respects the natural environment while providing exhilarating experiences for riders of all skill levels. Our focus is on long-term ecological balance and rider safety.

Where Are We?

There happen to be many "trails on the ground" which were created over the years without U.S. Forest Service approval. We are working with the USFS to get these incorporated into an official system of trails.

In February of 2022, we submitted a proposal to the USFS to bring 56 miles of trails into the USFS system of trails. We're waiting to hear back!

Community Trails Initiative

Beyond maintenance, we foster a community of trail stewards. Through volunteer workdays and advocacy, we empower mountain bikers to protect and maintain the paths they love to ride.

Want To Help?

Please donate to our 501(c)(3) Non Profit!

We will use the funds to work with the USFS to make progress on turning unofficial trails into USFS approved trails - and then maintaining them!  Funds are also used to replace tools used for trail maintenance.
